What does Italian style mean today for the whole fashion world? For those who pass by Milan, the new go-to event is “The new vocabulary of Italian fashion”, at the Triennale di Milano.
It’s a one of a kind event that was created from the need to recognize and celebrate the present Italian fashion world as well as its protagonists: brands and creative minds that have renewed and recovered its traditional cultural, technical and technological DNA over the past 20 years, rewriting it in a language that is completely original. From ready-to-wear and streetwear to footwear, eyewear, jewellery and hats.
The exhibition is an accurate staging of the stretch of the Made in Italy label’s recent history since 1998, the year that marks the concrete transition to a world interconnected by the web and new forms of communication. This was 10 years before the great global crisis of 2008, which affected Western economies and undermined the economic, social and cultural paradigms of post-modernity.
Over 100 of the most important companies and emerging designers on the contemporary scene will participate in the exhibition with their products and projects.
